Yes - in terms of IRC chan Ops, of which there are several different types, depending on the network.

This is a fantastic script...

One question... it indicates o as the access flag - but on testing, looks like just the owner can activate the todo commands. None of the other Ops can.

How do I change that so all Ops can activate the list?

Group bot nicks?

Would like to be able to add nicks to the bot via grouping/nickserv. So two questions - via telnet/dcc: - what is the command to change the bot's nick? - what is the command to group a new nick with its registered nick? All the topics i found dealt with identify scripts... don't need that, as mine w...

"I ended up killing it through putty" is ambiguous though. Many use putty as their ssh client. That would imply killing bot from the linux command line, using the kill <pic> command. Apparently you meant that you can and do use putty as also your telnet client. Good. :) Sorry for the misu...

I have been able to connect to it on putty... it's how I killed in a few times today...

It doesn't like your chaninfo command, tho…?

I double checked the hostmask in the user file.. it was accurate.

No autojoin, no dcc, no ctcp

Hi all, Had my eggdrop bot running perfectly for months... suddenly in the wee hours, it got disconnected from IRC... upon trying to connect, it seems like it ran into a string of hostname errors, nickserv registration errors, etc. I ended up killing it through putty and waiting for it to restart. I...

User level - based on time spent

I found this: http://forum.egghelp.org/viewtopic.php?t=19314&highlight=track+user and thought it was super interesting. I'd love to see if it could be modified to reflect the following: Level 1 - achieved after user has spent X (X=1) hours in channel Level 2 - X + 20 hours Level 3 - X + 40 hours...

Assigning text color - config file

I would like ALL text from the bot to be:

dark red = light background
bright red = dark background

Rather than assign color codes to each individual script, is there a way to assign the text color in the config file?

Many thanks!

Super simple random msg from text file

Have gone out of my mind trying to edit "random timed message" and advertise scripts - so far three have crashed the bot and I'm out of patience. Have used scripts from here and the tcl archive. The problem is, I don't want a timer at all or for users to add/delete. Real simple... just wan...

Need help with ad script

Below is the script I got from the tcl archive... and made adjustments for my channel. But for some reason, it loads fine but doesn't work. What I would like it to do is: - upon the !topic command, bot should randomly select a line from the topic.txt file - the line should be posted to the channel f...

Update... downgraded the bot to regular op.. that helped with backend/dcc commands... but no matter what we do, the bot replies with that "botisop" statement:

"Auggghh! I can't do de-voicing because DsPbot isn't op'd in #Channel right now. :( "
