Current version still works fine for me. Watch it that you do not use any "strange" characters in your search string like german umlauts or other non-ascii letters, that usually gave me this error.

Thanks for the quick youtube fix, works nice as usual again! As far as making a separate version to support the utf-8 hack, this is possible. But I would rather first fix the script to full functionality and once this is achieved I can easily strip out my encoding modifications to return the script ...

Jep, can confirm that this is working. My eggdrop (1.6.19) is accepting and outputting UTF-8 correctly now, at least if the script that's used supports this. Unfortunately most of the scripts, like the modded version of incith's google tcl by speechless do not since they use own workarounds and thus...

Updated to the latest version now. Had some slight problems at first (everything that was unicode before suddenly wasnt) but got it working.
