DCC chat problem

Hi. Okay, I have a frustrating and befuddling problem. I have a bot on a machine that I also irc from with irssi. So my irc client and the bot is on the same computer, right? I can't connect to the bot via dcc. The thing is though, I have another bot on the same machine1 on another network that I ca...

Bass's Seen Script (bseen) - Limit to each channel?

Hi. I'm using bseen v1.4.2c and I have a bot residing in multiple channels (with overlap in users between the various channels) and I would like the bot to respond to the seen command with information pertaining to the current channel ONLY. As it is now, it gives information about when it saw someon...

I just wanted to post and say that I finally solved the problem. It was a rather stupid mistake on my part. I had completely forgotten that I had previously tried linking a bot from the the same linux box I'm now ircing from to the bot I am trying to get access too. So, the current bot associ...

Having used irssi extensively previously, I have already changed the encoding settins in irssi to UTF-8. Also, I am Swedish, so many people in the channels I frequent use the iso-8859-1 charset, so I have added recode support to be able to interpet that as well. This produces the same (apparently, a...

It could be your host is added as for example, *!ident@host, from mIRC, and your irsii client may not be replying to ident, and your host may look like ~ident@host instead.
No, the host is exactly the same.

Check your ident settings for your irssi... Make sure that it is the same ident reply as you previously had set for your mIRC client. Both ident replies are the same. On mirc it was my nickname (which was exterus) and the linux box I'm ircing from has it set so the reply is my username, which is ex...

Unfortunately, I don't have the possibility of accessing the console via telnet. But thanks for the suggestion nonetheless. :)

Bot won't accept my password in DCC chat

Hi. I've been running a bot for a while now and I recently swtiched irc client to irssi from mIRC. After the switch, the bot won't accept my password when I try to log in via DCC. I know it's the correct password, but it still says "bad password". Could it have something to do with the cha...

Thanks a lot! :) Now it tries to send the userfile, at least.

But I have another problem now. ;)

When Pajsaren sends the userfile send request to TheDude, TheDude responds like this: "Failed connection; aborted userfile transfer."

Botnet userfile sharing problem

Hi. I've successfully managed to link two of my bots to each other, but the hub won't send its userfile to the leaf. I've read the guide here on egghelp and perused the documentation of eggheads, but I still can't figure out what's wrong and I'd appreciate some help. Here's the exchange between the ...

I have one eggdrop running. No more. And yes, I have read the entry about untrustworthiness on the uptime site. It does not explain WHY my bot has been marked as untrustworthy when I know I'm not cheating. That why I asked if there are any known bugs in the uptime module (except the restart bug, whi...

Uptime module - any known bugs?

Hi! I have a question that touches both the uptime module and the eggheads uptime contest. I know this site isn't directly involved in the contest, but the eggheads page links here, so I thought I'd give it a go anyway. Alright, I loaded the module and the bot showed up at the uptime contest page fi...
