Where is your shell located ? what country? that may help us a little to start with.

totally agree if it is just for eggdrops, CLI or console for ssh2 is a lot mroe flexible and useful for extras like maybe a webhost or forum addons to your account then yes plesk or cpanel or good old usermin is nice to use.

Have you thought about running NeoStats ? not sure if it will do exactly what you want but I seem to remember it had some inbuilt bots last time I had a look.

dont know if you checked this in the gseen.conf file or not

Apologies for jumping in a little late but I tested all those ip's you listed through my eggdrop running jamesoff's script and it detected open proxies on all except 3, I guess it depends what dnsbl's you use.
Anyhow I hope you get the problem sorted the scripts listed above are pretty good.

you dont say what chat client you are using but have you pointed the router port to the bot or to the irc client? Also you may have to set the port in the client (or range of ports). Also check your bots config file especially this part:- # my-hostname settings. You may still need to set my-ip and/o...

I think the original poster was having trouble with the initial pre compile ./configure not the actual eggdrop config set up. I have seen this before a long time ago and cant remember the solution. Try contacting the shell admin.
