I have my bouncer connected to irc server and stays in the channel. When I disconnect the client and reconnect to my bouncer, it automatically takes me to channel but doesn't hide my ip and dns. If I /part the channel from bouncer and rejoin the channel from psybnc, it does use the psybnc vhost that...

In my psybnc.conf file I have an entry for logging as follows:

USER1.LGI.ENTRY0=*;#mychannel

can someone help me to get the channel logging to work?

Thanks for the help. You guys are great. When I did /whois, vhost is being used. One more thing.

what is i,n in front when you do /whois username? I get the output as such:

username i=username@some_vhost. what does i stand for, in i=username@blahblah?

Just disconnect your client like usual, and your bnc will remain connected. /bconnect, /bquit, etc are to manipulate the bouncer, only use these when you need to change server or such. On the channel window, do /park. This will allow you to leave the channel so you don't get the channel window popping up every time.

I am able to run the bouncer psybnc. Every time my irc client conncets to it, it always opens the same channel? I don't want to open this channel at all.
