That's the crash causing bug I was speaking about. This patch shifts down the function lookup table for modules, but doesn't update properly the indices in module.h so sometimes completely wrong functions get called, causing crashes. (These are at the end of the lookup table, including console_chon ...

Looks like intentional behaviour. The protectfriends channel setting shouldn't matter here. I don't have opinion on the case, but you'd better open a ticket about it, to make sure we won't forget to look at it. Your trouble with Trac has been caused by a problem with the mailing system, which should...

It's a time worn argument whether to release something that's been hacked together in a far from ideal way, or better to have nothing until someone who really knows what they're doing creates something that more people would consider up-to-standard. Users tend to favour the former and developers th...

This guy obviously doesn't understand how autotools and autoconf in particular work. Don't blame this on us. The configure script isn't written manually, it's generated by the input templates. You don't edit it, don't patch it, don't do anything to it. You edit it's source files (configure.ac and a...

The reason is, the default timestamp format changed with eggdrop 1.6.20 - it now contains seconds too. Pisg's eggdrop parser has the old format hardcoded. There are two solutions: Change the timestamp-format variable in eggdrop.conf back to the old default to keep pisg happy: set timestamp-format {[...

finally that autoconf issue hits me ... :) I've been aware of that issue before. The main problem is that autoconf - when applied on a clean eggdrop source - already creates a completely different configure file (unless I made something wrong...). Blame the devs for that ;) This guy obviously doesn...

The only recommended solution is to upgrade to 1.6.20, where the problem is fixed. Older versions aren't supported.

Rootie has updated his patch for 1.6.20: http://www.egghelp.org/files.htm#patches I'll boldly advertise it on the home page if no one reports any issues in the next day or two :) I'd recommend the author to run autoconf on this and resubmit it. Otherwise configure warns about --with-ssl. In general...

@pseudo: Just because I didn't expect this kind of problem is no reason to not seek help. Thank you for the extreme constructiveness of your post. That was a default setting, so I'm a tad confused as to why it didn't like it. Any ideas? 64-bit Windows 7 if that matters. Reading your post, many peop...

You are using an outdated CVS build from January as this is the latest Windrop available. You should have read the big fat warning that CVS versions are in development. This was fixed in upstream Eggdrop in a day or two after the original logts patch, but nobody bothers to update Windrop anymore. An...

Global operators can only add and remove channel bans as global masks are restricted to masters and above. .+/-ban for #channel bans works normally, though. While it's not documented and not exactly logical, this is by design and is not a bug. Personally I think global operators should be allowed to...

This is a fault in ttrace.tcl, part of the Thread extension. While it perfectly makes sense for eggdrop to have a global version variable, it's inappropriate and arrogant for a script to abuse such a common name to store a temporary value for one-time use. We won't change eggdrop's variable name due...

Who edited my original message without a sign? This version:
With the latest version of gseen.mod you will no longer have to make any edits on the source, but simply defining 'set seen-nick-len <length>' in your main eggdrop configuration file.
isn't exactly what I wrote.
