Heh, the only change that needed to be made, was to change the url in the script to use www.imdb.com instead of "imdb.com" ... works ok once that's changed. I uploaded a fixed version to my site as well, not gonna bother sending it to the archive.

If the problem is a broken script, I will fix it. As far as adding new features, I just don't have the resources anymore, I'm on dialup, I don't go on irc hardly at all, I don't have the desire to continue writing new stuff, etc. Sorry, you'll have to add new features on your own. If "nothing h...

Learn tcl and follow the script as an example? All it does is pull data off webpages then use regexp and various standard scripting "tricks" to output formatted data..

Despite my better judgement for helping you, most likely your problem stemmed from you trying it with curly braces and not quotes. It wasn't my problem, as I said, my script works without error for me. Other people can feel free to implement the fix you posted. When crafting this script, I used the...

>> You've embedded unescaped control-codes to handle the bold rather than the proper escape sequence \002. Synonyms and antonyms suffer from this. Ahh ok.. As I recall, trying to use escape codes in a regsub using the & subs, doesn't work, hence having to use embedded code (which I generally dis...

Nope.. You have to create it. There's also a thread for this script, so this should be moved.

As far as the error message, you don't say when you're getting it, but I'm assuming you're getting that error because you're using the script to specify a channel you didn't configure into the script.

I'm assuming there's a version incompatibility between the version of tcl I'm using, and the version the people getting that "dcomdef" var error are using - something about the regexp, since obviously $dcomfef IS defined and the other regexp's don't throw any errors about it. I'm using tcl...

This needs to be moved to the thread for this script: http://forum.egghelp.org/viewtopic.php?t=12527 As far as your error, I do not get that error on loading. Perhaps read the faq section of the forum about how to load scripts without crashing the bot, and getting a proper debug output to see what t...
