Moved from the scripting forum as it doesn't look like you're trying to script anything. I assume when you say you're using netbots.tcl that you're using the botnetop component to do the opping. If that's the case, your settings are probably too aggressive. Refer this post to reduce flooding, and th...

No. Maybe the forum helpers do :) There is always hosting available for the forum and main site, and I keep my own backups in the event of a disaster. Updates to the main site vary depending on free time and motivation (after nine years, it's hard not to become interested in things other than Eggdro...

It'd be better to see more posts with "Replies: 0", as the sticky suggests, than responses containing quips. One of the purposes of this section of the forum is to separate those posts that take the idea of getting something for nothing to the extreme, so helpers can choose to view such re...

sentinel doesn't respond to join floods, only join-part floods. Check the bot's log and see what type of flood it is detecting.

Ohh man i dont care about the author I'm sure he'd be thrilled to hear that from those benefiting from his hard work. If you don't care about the community, don't be surprised when it doesn't care about you. The correct process, as Alchera described, is to first contact the author to alert them of ...

In response to a complaint, a small modification has been made to the rules to prohibit obscured profanity, which cannot efficiently be filtered automatically. However, !@#$^& is acceptable, and you can probably get away with f***.

It's a sharing issue, not a netbots/botnetop issue. Check the hub bot's user record on itself, if it has one, and make sure it has the +o flag.

I haven't encountered the problem with Firefox 1.5 myself, but I'm still using RC2. If it's not the cookie settings, see if clearing cookies helps.

Yes, something is needed. The problem is simply time. Weekend is already eaten up upgrading the forum. As you know, it's not hard to implement a rudimentary ratings system, but one that is decent and not open to abuse would take time. Best I could do at the moment is add a prominent "featured&q...

I haven't looked at the problem, but I suspect demond is correct and De Kus's fix is appropriate. Not planning any new releases of netbots.tcl at the moment. If it weren't for the fact that it doesn't seem right to "cover up" my own bugs, I'd have deleted this thread, because the script na...

nb_chon hasn't changed in years, and I haven't had any reports of this problem in recent memory or experienced it myself. Moving bots without recompiling can sometimes lead to weird behaviour, or it could also be a conflict with another script.

Hmm, if I hadn't completely forgotten about it, I might've included the changes in netbots.tcl v4.10. Nevertheless, 4.10 is based on 4.09 and doesn't necessarily contain the work that I was doing for 4.50/5.00, as pointed out here . I no longer have chanlimit4.5.tar.gz, but I think I found the sourc...
