help with ice2 script

hi all
new to this, after 5 days of reading and trying finealy got the bot into the room, loaded ice2 script, loads fine but cannot get it to start.

bot does not respond to /msg but does work with dcc
the command to start the script is /msg chat-bot djon password

i tried .msg chat-bot djon password but still not turning on

any and all help is apperciated, first time i haven't been able to finf a fix by reading on he net

That's a confusing, since .msg is not /msg . Where and why are you trying .msg ? .msg is a command in the partyline.

You might want to check to see if - when you do use /msg command to the bot, as per the directions of the script - if the /msg is even triggering whatever it is supposed to trigger.
You can check that with the .binds command, from within the partyline.
Do: .binds msg to list them all, and find the appropriate one.
Note the number in the HITS column.
Then try the /msg command again.
Then check again with the .binds command. Did HITS counter increment by one? If so, ... well at least you know that much is working.
If not, then you've found a clue.

Do: .help binds to read more about the .binds command.
