as you can see, i have tried all ports to connect to this particular server and am getting denied. i'm just trying to verify that this is a problem with my shell provider being g-lined perhaps? or is it something on my end?

You probably will need to go to GameSurge and get a recent list of connectable servers.

i think the main one i listed, "gigenet.il.us.gamesurge.net", is a "connectable" server as you say. i'd prefer to use that one because apparently my shell host is on the same network. if you look closely at the console pasting, even the generic round-robin "irc.gamesurge.net" is giving me the "permission denied" message. i was just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this message and what it could possibly mean.
