problem with qstat "Timeout while querying server."

Post by nox »

Hi,
i use qstat on my eggdrop to check the status of my cs 1.6 steam server,
but i get "Timeout while querying server." as answer from the bot.
while i used cs 1.5, i could check the status, but now with cs 1.6 is isn't running any more =/.
it's very important for me, because of my clan channel.

if somebody has an idea, i would be happy :)

shouldn't cs, clan, and generally any qcrap having something to do with mindless first-person shooter games have its own egghelp forum?
connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>
before asking for scripting help, read <this>
use

Code: Select all

 tag when posting logs, code

I would think simply going back to the one that worked would be a solution. If that fails, try searching yourself.

i tried a few of the server labeled as 1.6 listed here http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php? ... ayers&pg=1
with 2.10, some worked some didn't .
dunno maybe a firewall or config problem.

I searched and found a possible solution.
I set "sv_enableoldqueries 1" in the server.cfg of the cs 1.6 server;
with this value it should running, but it doesn't help in my situation =/

in that case someone - like YOU - should read up the specs (im sure they are public somewhere or posted on some forums) for the new queries and replace them in the script ^-^. If you have trouble to implement it you can post details about the old and new specs with the code parts and someone might be able to assisst you.

qstat has nothing to do with TCL and these forums are dedicated to eggdrop bots, TCL and C modules for eggdrop.

I suggest using the resources of http://www.qstat.org/ to resolve whatever problem their command-line program is causing.
