bbc news

Post by Bonnie »

Hi all
I'm hunting for a tcl script that will return the bbc news headlines and the url to my irc channel.
Is there one that works?
I can add scripts to my bot.
But scripting is a bit above me still.
Hope someone knows of a script for me.
Thank you all for being here

Good Luck. I also didn't mention that; with there being more and more RSS reading/news-Feeds TCL scripts out there. Just adding the RSS feed of BBC new website that your interested in, would also be worth checking out. Last time i was looking for new feeds, they had a great selection too  And thankfully, the scripts can be customized and add/deleted on the fly.

Thank you ever so much TCL_no_TK.
I found rssnews.tcl . Took me a while to sort it out.
I'm nearly there. I can add and del news places.
I still have not worked out how to use the !news command.
It should let me pick a number of a head line and msg me a url for it.
Baby step by baby step I'm sorting it.
Thanks also to the author of the rssnews reader.
Bonnie
PS. Any help with the !news command would be a great help.
