Hi all!

Ill try and be short and precise. Just learned eggdrop. Managed to set up the conf file to where it actualy initiates the channel that I want and all. Successfully went through the "/msg <botname> hello". Now I have searched and searched for the answer to my somewhat stupid question. Here goes:

I open up my xchat and log on to the channel that I use the bot against. I simply cant give neither myself or the bot op!? This is the result from .whois <my_xchat_nick> that I've done through telnetting the bot.

Code:
HANDLE    PASS NOTES FLAGS           LAST
MrMunson  yes      1 ahjlmnoptx      20:53 (#xboxlovers)
   #xboxlovers        aglo            20:53
  HOSTS: *!MrMunson@*.cust.bredbandsbolaget.se, -telnet!*@*

In my world, the o's in both the global setting and the channelspecific lines are meaning that I should be op. Am I getting this wrong? Whenever I try do do something that requires op-level my xchat spits this message out:

Quote:
* #<chan_name> :You're not channel operator

Does anyone have the time or knowledge to explain what I am doing wrong. That would be great! I wasnt sure whether to paste in any of my configs so bare with me and ask if there is any specific confpart that may be useful for me to post here.

Thanks a bunch!

//Jim

and if you just want that message to stop, just disable it in your console.

I checked and they were all getting their op, but I wasn't sure if I had to do anything in the console or something. Very Happy
