hi i cant seem to DCC to my bot it does not acknowledge the chat request could you guys help me out total newbie here

Are you sure you didn't change your ident or (in case you use bnc) your vhost? Try /Msg botnick IDENT yourpassword yournick

Also check your irc-client if there's no ignore for dcc-chat enabled.

Maybe you could be more specific about the problem itself? Did it work before? Did you /Msg hello the bot? If you're using bnc is dcc enabled?

oorrrr. you are using a firewall in windows XP (or similar) or your router / firewall settings are not forwarding the ports needed to use DCC.
