The link above is B0unTy's version and it works 100% for me in any bot I load it into (including Windrop).
Now, if anyone is having "drama" with that particular version then it's not the script that is at fault.

check the script you pasted above and then do what I did. you'll notice it.

Anyone with a half brain would know that "!imdb dlfsdff " will yield a NIL result as it's nonsensical.

anyone with half a brain would know that !imdb dlfsdff should give out some error msg like "blah not found" instead of:
Tcl error [imdb_proc]: can't read "location": no such variable |

invalid argument IMHO; every computer program should somehow indicate to the user that the input was invalid, or there is no output corresponding to that input

Well as I didn't write the script in the first place....
Secondly, who issues such as "!imdb dlfsdff" when it's known it's never going to work?
Intelligent use of any script yields the desired results. The script performs within the parameters set for it by the author.

probably no one, but when a real search gets no results (just like !imdb dlfsdff wouldn't) AND no similar result - then you get the location error.
think about it. |

ok. then try a real search like this:
!imdb dragon reloaded - no result (even the movie exists) & gives location error.
!imdb dragonslayer reloaded - gives dragon reloaded (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0476537/)
i don't have to contact the scripter as i'm fine with the script even if it doesn't work 100% but i was just telling you in the first place that it isn't working 100% as you claimed it to do so. so please..

the movie's name IS 'dragon reloaded' NOT dragonslayer reloaded.
!imdb dragon reloaded gives NO result BUT a location error!
