i got a problem with the sentinel it doesnt bans flooders when they mass join,it stats at dcc its banning:

[21:23] <(OmanServ> [07:23] sentinel: banned *!*@n143s223.ntc.blacksburg.shentel.net on #oman (JOIN-PART flooder)
[21:23] <(OmanServ> [07:23] sentinel: added *!*@n143s223.ntc.blacksburg.shentel.net to ignore list (JOIN-PART flooder)
[21:23] <(OmanServ> [07:23] sentinel: banned *!*@d60-65-200-253.clv.wideopenwest.com on #oman (JOIN-PART flooder)
but in the channel it doesnt bans them

yes, maintain proper ban limit
your bot doesn't enforce the bans on channel likely because your channel banlist is full (or, less likely, because it's lagged due to flood) |

| The channel ban list was empty when the flood happened. There was other flood and the banlist was emtpy and same thing happened it just seted the mode on the channel and didnt ban any of the flooders. |

Sentinel sets +im on a flood.
If sentinel has been properly configured it will do exactly as designed.
Is the reference to the netbots component or the stand alone version?

what do you care if it bans flooders or not while the channel is +mi?
it will enforce the bans as needed, when the channel is -mi already and those flooders possibly try to rejoin |

how do you know he didn't mean +b? I agree +im was the obvious and most likely suspect, but since the vast majority of people asking for help here are not too knowledgeable (to put it mildly) about the technical aspects of IRC, you can never be sure what they are talking about unless you confirm and make them explain using exact words |
