|
|
| I'm using the latest version of stats.mod, and i like it for the most part, except for one thing, whenever it adds a new user to the stats database, it gives them all kind of notice spam about modifying their stats account, which i see as fairly pointless and annoying. I looked in the conf, and didn't really see anyway to turn this off, but i might have missed it, does anyone here know of a way to turn it off? |

1.4.0 dev20?!
If you are uncommon with the term "log", please don't bother us with that kind of question here and consult a dictionary or lexicon. A quite good explanation is avaible on Wikipedia. _________________ De Kus

I know what a log is, its just i didn't see how it would help, sorry (its just a bunch of notice spam about setting up your stats account). And, yes, 1.4dev20.
-+Quistis- Hello, you've just been added to my userbase! Your username is "`Marc".
-+Quistis- From now on, I'll log various statistics about you, unless you stop me.
-+Quistis- If you set a password with "/msg caduro STATSPASS <password>", you can edit the settings of your account.
-+Quistis- The password will be transfered and stored in plain-text, so please don't re-use a password for any important account.
-+Quistis- The URL of the stats-pages is http://rinoa |

hmm there seems to be no on/off switch for that
however, you can still turn it off by deleting the lines starting with 500 in your lang file _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>

Nope, there's no on/off switch for that...and yes it is annoying...
You're better off using the previous version (1.3.3). I've installed the 1.4 once and it didn't last long....verry unstable in comparison with the 1.3.3 version. On my bots it kept freezing when using the !top 10 command.
Also : the new function wich grants 'users' permission to change their own settings isn't quit finished yet, the language files seem not to be fully completed , instead of visualizing the settings you get something like : SLANG.... Users can only guess what the function is.
It's actually stated by the author on his webpage that 1.4 is still under development and if you need stability you're better off using 1.3.3.

ditto that
contrary to the stated "It still has a few flaws, but it is usable if you don't need 100% stability.", it obviously has many flaws, hangs often and is hardly usable
I just got back to 1.3, two days after installing 1.4 _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>
