i have instaled and run the egg !!
i did /msg Botnick hello
-SuPeR_BoT- Hi SuPeR_BoY! I'm SuPeR_BoT, an eggdrop bot.
-SuPeR_BoT- I'll recognize you by hostmask '*!BaDro@*.undernet.org' from now on.
-
-SuPeR_BoT- YOU ARE THE OWNER ON THIS BOT NOW
-SuPeR_BoT- As master you really need to set a password: with /MSG SuPeR_BoT pass <your-chosen-password>.
-SuPeR_BoT- All major commands are used from DCC chat. From now on, you don't need to use the -m option when starting the bot. Enjoy !!!
-SuPeR_BoT- Password set to: '********'.
i send the ident commande to the egg but no replay
after the egg dosen't replay to any command !!
i can make him join channels |

the ident command must be enable on .conf in case you have not the host mask to recognise you. |

sorry  
i have tried dcc chat !!
when a open a dcc chat with the bot !
he ask me for a nick
i enter my nick !
and no answer !
i try commands but no command work !
after the bot close the chat with Time out message ! |

normal the bot add you with handle SuPeR_BoY and host *!BaDro@*.undernet.org
just a question now for you.on .conf file did you have set owner?
if yes is "SuPeR_BoY"?
now.
the bot recognise you from your host ONLY.
on dcc as you say bot asks you the nickname.there you have type your HANDLE and not your current nickname.
how can i see what is my handle in the bot?
open on shell with vi or pico editor the .user file and look there.
if i have set pass how can i connect with the bot if i dont know my handle?
with /dcc chat bot. there the bot ask you ONLY your pass.you have be your dcc enable bla bla bla.-if dcc problem read this---> http://forum.egghelp.org/viewtopic.php?t=10399
if i connect to bot on party line how can i see my HANDLE?
typing .who on partyline you will see your handle and your real ip what you are connected.

and now lets type the basicaly things:
user: /ctcp bot chat
bot:send dcc
user:accept
bot:............
Acknowledging chat request...
DCC Chat connection established
Nickname.
user:handle and enter
bot:password
user:userpassword and enter
bot:users on Bot:
yourHANDLE
You have no message
that is the procedure.
if nickname is wrong bot answer:You don't have access.
connection timeout meaning many things but not connectivity or settings problem.
bot running on shell? is personal server or public? we talk about eggdrop or windrop? did the bot running under lan on local network?In what line run the bot?you type is your connection line?
commands ONLY via partyline you can run excempt some commands like die,rehash,notes,info,op yourself etc but NO kick/ban,say,act,+user,+chan etc etc from query window. |
