Ok guys, I've just spent like 3 hours trying to figure out a way to get passed this. I've done all of these steps over numerous times and keep getting the same result.

tried google, tried the search function here, and still nothing

i'm following the steps on this site

http://www.eggfaq.com/docs/eggdrophelp.html

and get up to #7, and when i try this line:

make config


i get this:

make: *** No rule to make target 'config'. Stop.


if it helps determine the problem at all, i notice that there is a line in the section of installing tcl that says this:

./configure --with-tcllib=$HOME/tcl8.4.11/unix/libtcl8.4.a --with-tclinc=$HOME/tcl8.4.11/generic/tcl.h


i see tcl.h, but i don't seem to have a libtcl8.4.a in the unix dir.

i'm kind of lost here, and don't know what to do next. any ideas?

I am not sure but this appears to be your distro's problem and not eggdrop.

I suggest you check your distro's user forums.
