That is your error. It seems the contents of ~language cannot be found. _________________ Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

There are 38 files to be exact; they are all required to be in that folder. _________________ Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

did you include the entire boot error, or just a snippet..?

it was the entire thing.
This is my very first eggdrop, so you may be right on it being in the conf file
| Code: |
# If you want to have your Eggdrop messages displayed in a language other
# than English, change this setting to match your preference. An alternative
# would be to set the environment variable EGG_LANG to that value.
#
# Languages included with Eggdrop: Danish, English, French, Finnish, German.
addlang "english"
|
would that be the problem?[/code] |

The default language for eggdrop is English; you do not need to use 'addlang' switch if you're using English. _________________ Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

as you can see this is well over 32 files.
i understand it could be a simple problem of them being in the wrong folder but im not sure what folder they should be in considering this is the default and ive found nobody in the gentoo forums with this problem.
any help is much appreciated |
