I've never used an eggdrop before today and was a little confused (to say the least).
After a lot of googling, I found this GEM of a guide.
http://www.irc-junkie.org/art-installing-your-eggdrop.php
It took me right from the start, to setting up the crontab thingy and finishing the setup!
I thought I'd share it here, as like I say, it helped me immensly!
Cheers,

I've never read that kind of manuals (deserving to be spanked by Alchera ), but isn't the page essentially what egghelp.org is all about? _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>

I have no idea why, but you get to the main page of egghelp.org and for some unknown reason most do not actually bother to look at all those lovely links on the left side that takes a newbie right "from the start, to setting up the crontab thingy and finishing the setup!"; at least it did when I last looked.
Spending hours 'googling' seems to be more productive in some perverse way.
I have been aware of the Junkie.org link for some time but it's a little out of date and I feel the original articles (by slennox) to be better. _________________ Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.
