# IRC (i.e. if you're on an un-trusted botnet), un-comment the next line

#set botnet-nick "LlamaBot"

uncomment the bottom line, and choose a nick

Isn't that correct? It's still not working.

no, to uncomment a line, remove the # at the start of that line

so change

to

set botnet-nick "IrcBot"

eggdrop ignores any line starting with a #

if you didn't know this, then when u fix this, and try start ur bot again, u will get another error....then another....then another....

take time editing ur conf file.

[17:31] --- Loading eggdrop v1.6.17 (Mon Mar 6 2006)
[17:31] Module loaded: blowfish
[17:31] Userinfo TCL v1.07 loaded (URL BF GF IRL EMAIL DOB PHONE ICQ).
[17:31] use '.help userinfo' for commands.

STARTING BOT IN USERFILE CREATION MODE.
Telnet to the bot and enter 'NEW' as your nickname.
This will make the bot recognize you as the master.

[17:31] === IrcBot: 0 channels, 0 users.
Launched into the background (pid: xxxxx)

I got it on, but it doesn't appeared on irc. Where is the mistake this time?
Question

Maybe you should post you're entire conf file so we could take a look. It's impossible to guess the problem, isn't it?

Also connect tot your bot via telnet and look in the partyline wich error occures when connecting to a server.

He probably means it doesn't appear in his channel. You'd be surprised at just how many people have never heard of /whois.

I suggest Doesntwork take a look at Setting up an Eggdrop and read very carefully the configuration section; especially the bit regarding defining channels.
