|
|
Hi all
I'm an op in a Canadian Deals channel, and the website is one of the busiest around. New topics are frequently posted to the HOT DEALS section of the forum and it would be really great if something could check for new topics and post a link to them in the channel .. I know scripts like this exist I think for other things like phpbb (maybe vbulletin is the same; i have no clue)
The site in question is forums.redflagdeals.com -> HOT DEALS
Anyone know if such a thing is at all possible? I would be thrilled!
Thanks all!! |

Well I can't get yours to say anything to the channel
The LogFiles were absolutely PRISTINE, there wasn't a single error in them..
I tried 'perpleXa's RSS one and it worked OK for a while, but it seems to stop announcing after a bit of time.. I don't get this crap.. I've tried on 3 versions of eggdrops now, from .16, .17, and even .18rc1..
I really wanted yours to work because it should do exactly what I'm looking for; but I can't figure out for the life of me why it's not saying anything..
Sigh |

my script works fine with your RSS feed (the real RSS, not the other which is Atom feed) - I tested that
and I can't imagine there's no error whatsoever - it is designed to log every possible error - if it failed to do so in your case, that would be a bug
what's the bot response when you type !rss *? _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>
