I was wondering if this is a bug or if there is a problem with 1.6.17.

I just completed testing my eggdrop. I set up one of the ops with only the +fhp flags. He wa able to set up a +ban on a user and the bot executed the kick. Is this a know problem?? I can't find any documentation telling me that anyone with partyline access can set a +ban.

Some guidance please.

The user may have a host matching another with higher access.

If the person is a chanop, then it sounds like the bot is set with +enforcebans.
You may want to look at eggdrop's documentation on channel settings.

Maybe I wasnt clear enough in my first post.

I opened a new channel and was testing a few things. One of my OPs informed me that anyone with partyline access can place a ban. I removed all of the OPs flag except +fhp. SO he had only Friend/Highlight/Partyline. He then joined the partyline and placed a ban on a regular user. The bot placed the ban and kicked that user. Neither the OP or the user had any priviledges.

The bot is not set with +enforcebans and the OP does not have another account associated with his nick.

This can be a serious problem.

I have been unable to reproduce this with any "stock" 1.6.17 eggdrop I have running.
If you are using a modified bot or botpack, the problem may be in the modifications.
