|
|
Okay, I've been having some trouble with my bot. You see, two days ago I didn't put any TCL scripts on my bot just to test it for heck of it. Well, then I could DCC to it. But today, I put a google script on it, and I cannot DCC to it.
It says:
| Quote: | Chat with Phantom
Waiting for acknowledgement... |
And stays like that.
Yes, I have looked around, and checked the FAQ on the main page. I've also tried the /msg bot ident command, and it said:
| Quote: | | {05:23:01pm} -Phantom- I recognize you there. |
And it still says the same thing when I try to DCC to it. I've also tried to /CTCP bot CHAT, too. Didn't work.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

Tried the CTCP and other things. And none worked. _________________ Can you say Ghost World three times fast without having nightmares? D= |

try connecting via telnet and see if it outputs any error when you try to join dcc chat. you can use .rehash and .restart from there too

You do not need DCC to rehash.
/msg botnick rehash pass |

Thanks, that I didn't know. I'll put in some different scripts to see how that works out. _________________ Can you say Ghost World three times fast without having nightmares? D= |

what other things? did you try any of the suggestions for resolving firewall/NAT problems?
my feeling is that people give up too easily on DCC problems
unless you try to DCC from behind a corporate firewall (which you shouldn't be doing anyway), nothing is stopping you from fixing the problem yourself _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>

I don't have a currently active firewall; so that's not a problem. _________________ Can you say Ghost World three times fast without having nightmares? D= |

I don't think you tried anything else besides /ctcp CHAT _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>

*sigh*
no, it's not okay
as soon as you find yourself in need to use commands other than the most basic ones you use now, you'll realize that you simply must have your DCC working _________________ connection, sharing, dcc problems? click <here>
