Hello there,
i just reinstalled debian and my eggdrops (version1.6.1
but now it forgets 3 characters in the name
it needs to be Koekiemonster but it is Koekiemons
Help me please

Does the ircd you connect with supports more than 10 characters/nick?
Also check this setting in your egg's config-file :
| Code: | set nick-len 9
(change this to the length of your bots nick) |
Also be sure your net-type setting is correct.

net-type settings is 5 (for quakenet)
nick-len = 32
so its big enough for Koekiemonster |

dusk was asking if your network allowed users to register/use nicks up to 32 characters in length (like DALnet). If not then that is your problem; nothing to do with eggdrop. _________________ Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.
