hi,
i found so many shoutcast scripts out there with lots of functions. but they all are too much. i am searchin for a script that simply posts

"Now Playing: Artist - Title"

or something like that in one channel. it should automaticially post the name of the song when a new song starts on stream.

is this possible?

Not unless your eggdrop can hear things (if you have something where you store the artist, use that)

can i make my bot post infos if i am not the owner of a stream. we createt a fanchannel. and we only like to have infos for the "current song playing".
is there a way? we dont have passwords etc. for the strem. we only want to grab infos from there.

Still in my oppinion you shouldt ask the radio manager for confirmation that it is ok to use the radio info on you channel, but thats just my 5 cents.

can i use "http://address:port" on domsen's script?
or is there a simple script that only posts that?
the radio admins now about our fanchannel. we are in contact with them.
