Hi,

I am trying to setup an eggdrop on a Gentoo computer via Putty. I am a noob with linux......

When I type "./configure" in the eggdrop forlder it says this:

rails eggdrop1.6.18 # ./configure
bash: ./configure: Permission denied

I am logged in as the root. Any ideas?

Are you logging in as a user with the correct permissions?
