|
|
I finally managed to get my bot online and it's on the channel. However it's useless at the moment because when I do /dcc chat <bot nick> <command> I get a message telling me that It's waiting for <bot nick> to accept the DCC request!
So how can I connect with the bot? The bot is running on my own computer...I tried doing /ctcp <bot nick> CHAT, but that doesn't work either because it says no TELNET port found. Please help me on this, I've been trying to get this bot working for a looong time now...

Did you do /msg bot hello to make yourself the owner?
If you're set up as the owner, enable the telnet option and then connect via telnet and see what error msgs you get when you try to dcc chat..

Would you happen to be behind a NAT (masquerading router/firewall)?
Lack of a "listen-port" would block /ctcp chat, but should'nt affect /dcc chat _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

Yes, I happen to be behind a router with double firewall and NAT. But I did this now and it worked for some reason:
/ctcp botnick chat
And there it was! Boom! Problem solved, thanks for all the help |
