Hello,

I downloaded and installed the news.tcl script by http://perplexa.ugug.co.uk. It works fine, except I don't like that I have to trigger the script in order to make it display the feed items.

Is there a way to make this script display new feed items automatically. So say, I update the feeds every 30 minutes, and when it finds a new item it announces it in the channel?

Also: is there an alternative for my needs?

this thing is obsolete and unsupported

use a modern RSS news script that does what you need, like rssnews.tcl
