Think you could read and try to fill out doc/BUG-REPORT to your best efforts?
Especially section 4.8 would be very helpful, but the more info you can supply the better.
Send the form to bugs@eggheads.org, and post a copy of it in this thread.

Did you compile these eggdrops yourself? What platform are they running on (eg, linux 2.6.x, i586?)

Easy assumption is 'yes'. Smile

... and from the above one could also assume FreeBSD.

I would've assumed he did not compile them himself, hence the segfaults (incompatible lib perhaps), and the shell prompt doesn't indicate a platform, so I wouldn't assume anything from it.

4.5) Do you have ideas on what is wrong that causes this error?
Please list them:

4.6) Do you have ideas on how to correct it? Please list them:

4.7) Other comments?

4.Cool If the bot dumped a 'core' file when it crashed, it would be *very*
useful if you could paste gdb's output during the following steps:
First call gdb
$ gdb eggdrop -c core
and then enter 'bt' on gdb's command line:
(gdb) bt
Keep your core file for at least one week, so that the dev team
can ask for further information if needed. However, don't send
us the core file unless we ask for it.

NOTE: If this is a bug you can reproduce, please compile with
make debug and follow the above step. It can greatly help
find and fix the bug.

=====================================================================

End of bug report form - Thank you for helping us improve Eggdrop.

You didnt answer if you compiled it yourself.

Does it crash if you unload all the other scripts?

Which order are you loading the modules in?

Does it crash if you load the modules but not the botnet script?

Please read the information/instructions BUG-REPORT:

Quote:

bug you want to report is already fixed.

Item "1.3" would be worth your interest.

It would probably help if you informed us of which *nix flavour you're compiling on. Smile

I have the same probleme.. whenever i want to create an eggdrop (i compile the archive myself)... some days ago i had to change the server.. (INTEL one)... and move to newer one (AMD)... i compiled the eggdrops and moved all the scripts from the old archive (withould any exec, modules or anything related to the old server compilation).... but i have that crash message everytime i want to run the eggdrop... (i only moved... *users *chan *info and 2 folders in wich i keep my scripts .tcl)...
