I am very new to using eggdrop. I am also very new to this scripting stuff. Somebody set my bot up for me. So as you can imagine , rather overwhelmed. Just spent the last couple hours trying to figure out how to type out the 'autoop' commands for each of my ops on mirc and dont know what im doing wrong or right. I went to the eggdrop help site and was using the commands shown on that page. Just inst working.
Is there a config file or a place on my computer I can change and if so what is its name and what would i type in?
OR how can I find help on setting this bot up to autoop my ops as they log into channel on mirc?
Hope i asked this with all the information needed for an answer |

Ok, but that's the page I used and followed the directions. Doesnt seem to be working. Am I supposed to be doing this in a DCC chat? Because that's what Im using. No error messages...just not working |

you need to make sure that the hostmask is set correctly and is being recognized by the bot. You can set this via the .+host command.
hope that helps _________________

If the nick added is longer that 9 chars then the "handle" is shortened.
So the nick SyedFuzail becomes the handle SyedFuzai.
I'm making an assumption here and hope it helps.
