Hi all, i moved my eggdrop.conf from one account to the other. Since the scripts and such are in the /usr/share/scripts all users on the machine can access them, so i didnt need to move any tcls. Problem is that when i moved the conf it didnt make a chan file, i keep getting this error when i launch the bot.

[07:48] Couldn't create channel file: eggdrop.chan. Dropping

But the bot launches fine, i just have to use eggdrop -m everytime! Whats wrong? And how do i fix this? Thanx in advance!

Check your "chanfile" setting in your config-file. This tells which (if any) file your eggdrop will use to store dynamic channel configurations. Most likely, it currently points to a location that either does not exists, or your eggdrop does'nt have permissions to write.

As for starting with -m, this has nothing todo with the channels file, but is used to create an userfile. Check that the "userfile" setting is set properly.
