I started my eggdrop and it properly created the channel..When I logged in with my regular user, I did /msg nick hello and then did the password setup. I can login to the console and see my id and it shows that this initial user has op right but when I login using a client and that user nick, I have no op rights. if I set +autoop in eggdrop.conf then login I do get the op rights but with -autoop, I do not get op rights. What am I doing wrong?

If the channel is not set to +autoop then the bot won't autoop +o users. If you want your bot to autoop you even if the channel is -autoop then give yourself the +a user-flag. _________________ Follow me on GitHub

It appears that I can only login to the console as my master user, not as the bot nick.

I got it...I had to restart the bot for the change to take effect. Thank you for your reply!
