when i add a host to a user like this *!~blahs@*.dsl.some.net.net
my bot auto ops them , but when they rejoin it doesn't, i watched my channel and it seems my bot doesn't auto op anyone with "~" in the host name. Please help.
Also sorry i was lost what to search for.. |

In case you're talking about Eggdrop's user list, it's preferrable to add *!ident@ instead of *!~ident@. Don't worry, adding *!ident@ still matches *!~ident@ so you should have no problems. _________________ Follow me on GitHub

That would depend on how you set strict-host. See the example config for more info on this setting.
Roughly put tho, if you set it to 1, you must match any leading tilde (~) in your hostmask, either using the character itself, or a wildcard.
If you, however, set it to 0, any leading tilde will be stripped from the ident-part of the host before matching, so you cannot have any tilde there in your hostmask... _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

Does this apply to the userlist ONLY, or to the Banlist also ?
