PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
After reading thru every postin on this splendid forum I could find, I resorted to last ditch efforts and changed anything I hadnt already changed. I ended up changing the 'What is your Network' setting from Other - 5 .... to DalNet ... 3.
End of kicking and banning after 12 mins!
I have left the original posting as is, in case anyone else has the same symptoms!

Just got my Eggdrop up and joined to my server (unreal 3.x with Anope services)- not too much of a hassle for a first timer! However, when hes 'opered' up, he is a tad sadistic. He de-ops then kicks and bans myself and the 3 other colleagues of mine. This may take up to 10 minutes to occur. (have just timed the length of time he takes to kick me - it is regularly 12 minutes!!!) I have looked everywhere for this - commented things in and out one at a time to no avail. I have tried most of the ideas I have foiund searching this forum ... dcc and hard writing to the config file also. He does not have a problem with any user I give channel ops to on a temporary basis - just us 4 top dogs with O-Lines :/ I have the following settings in the #channel section of the config file ...
channel add #plymouth {
chanmode ""
idle-kick 0
stopnethack-mode 0
}
channel set #plymouth +nodesynch +dontkickops
I know this is a very simple set so far, but I am tackling things one step at a time and have been scratching my head over this for days now. I know I am missing something but do not know where. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I had just solved the problem as you were posting! LOL!!
No custom scripts - or any tc's/modules apart from the ones with the original loaded yet .. just a bog-standard eggdrop install with very basic settings as you can see. Now I have stopped the blighter kicking and banning me, I can start to have some fun and find out just what it is capable of!
