|
|
This is an advanced auto-voice tcl i have been
using for 3 years, i just completly re-wrote
the script and will de-bug and release.
# Advanced auto-voice tcl for +m Channels
# If you OP a moderated channel you know that several bots are
# needed to make sure that people are +voiced. Problem is that
# with 2-3 +v bots all the mode changes fill up the screen.
# With this tcl the bots can be set as primary +v bot and
# secondary or even default +v bot, each checks to see if other
# bot has +v a person. So only 1 bot will +v.
# Bots will also remember when a person is -v and not +v them
# for a time limit that you set, default time is 30 minutes.
# Even if they cycle the room they will not get +v because this
# tcl will remeber their IP. enjoy
If you are interested in beta testing for me then
download here http://shell2.reverse.net/~tcl/ and give it a try.

I really don't understand the concept behind this. If you run a moderated channel and need to +v users or bots, I think ONE OPPED BOT should be enough for that task.
If voicing the users and bots fills up the screen with +v chanmodes, instead of using normal putserv or putquick, try using pushmode and then flushmode or you can even make your own queue if you are really good. _________________ ·awyeah·

erm, if that one bot goes down then the whole channel
is down, also bots get lagged from time to time, netsplits,
and other events which you never thought of .....
we have been doing this for 5 years, we do know a thing or two _________________ I once was an intelligent young man, now i am old and i can not remember who i was. |

Well yeap, but just for my oppinion, those are one of the most unpredictable and worse-case scenario conditions.
(*) Netsplits and
(*) Shell server down
Guess nothing can be done in order to stop them if you are on user (client) level status. But yes, you can have a backup bot placed on different server, and backup bot on a different shell server to overcome that. _________________ ·awyeah·

Hi there
This script works perfectly. I have a request though, is it possible to make the script not voice users that are registred with the local or global +q flag ? q flag means "quiet" user (user cannot gain voice)
Thanks in advance |
