I have a very strange problem, which I can't seem te resolve.
My Eggdrop seems to not notice a join until the joined user sends a message to the channel.
Normaly this wouldn't be such a problem, but I'd like to use the autoop-function, which makes it an annoying issue.
Does anybody know how to resolve this problem?
Btw, my version is 1.6.18 and is a default Fedora rpm install, with a custom config file.
If you need the config file I can provide it if necessary.
Thnx in advance,

the config file would be useful, including any/all scripts your bot is currently running _________________

the only real issue I saw with regards to your conf file is the net-type, which you have set to 1, and for quakenet it should be set to 5 (other networks). Try setting this variable correctly & rehash/restart...might just cure your problem. _________________

Thnx for the help, it doesn't work yet, but I noticed something even more strange!
If I'm connected to a channel with mIRC and someone else connects I can't see it untill that user talks, so it's the exact same problem as my Eggdrop has.
I tried different Quakenet servers and channels, but the problem stays...
Lol, I guess this is not an Eggdrop problem anymore, but an IRC problem.
Anybody got a clue |

Sounds like the channels are +D, and I think the correct net-type for quakenet is 2. (they're running ircu, right?) _________________ Have you ever read "The Manual"? |

Omg, you're great! I had never heard of the +D flag, I've set it to -D and everything was like it should. What does this flag do?
Btw, everywhere I look they say QuakeNet is net-type 5...
- Nevermind -
I found it on google after 20 mins of searching |
