Hello!

My bot is not responding to things occuring in the services.log channel of my network from the user - OperServ. I've looked high and low and can't find any clear/obvious solution to this problem. I've looked at the log file and I'm getting: "Flood from @host.net! Placing on ignore!". This happens when the services output the stuff about nickname registering when a user/client connects. Now I've set ignore-time to 0, but still no go.

I've read stuff about the bot not responding if there's colour involved, but i've checked that - if I set myself as the "watchnick" and say exactly the same line it works fine. It's only OperServ that its not working with. I even checked what was in the channel log file and there was a 4 prefixed on the line I want it to do something with, but I changed my bind to include that and it still didn't work.

Much appreciate any help as it's got me stumped. Confused

in your config file you should find a 'set flood-msg x|y' (where x and y is some digit/number), change it to 'set flood-msg 0:0' and make sure all hosts in the ignore list are removed, then it should now not ignore the operserv's host.

Simply add services as a user giving the 'f' global flag.

Yeah, I can't open a DCC chat to do that Alchera. It initiates the session but when I accept it just comes up with Unable to connect. Is there any way to do it manually - edit a file or something?

Thanks Tosser^^ - it's not getting ignored now, so thats a start.
