| i can only be admin when im using the nick "trey". it doesnt do anything when i use "prf|trey[ms]". I try .+user prf|trey[ms] in dcc but the bot says "Someone already exists by that name." so i try to .chattr prf|trey[ms] +G but the bot says "No such user!" this is all confusing and fustrating to me! does any know how to fix this? |

Eggdrop uses host masks and not nicks to recognise a user.
It would appear "trey" is "prf|trey[ms]" .i.e. host masks match and therefore you cannot re-add yourself under any other handle. _________________ Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

Use the .match command to find all the handles that have been added to the bot, then simply use the .chnick command to change your handle. What's the problem? If you do not understand how to use .match or .chnick, simply prefix the command with help (i.e. .help chnick) _________________
