Lost userfile transfer

Post by Kartagis »

Hi,

I at last was successful in linking, but now I have another problem. I get Lost userfile transfer from botname; aborting. How to tell where the problem is?

Regards,

EDIT: The whole message I get from the leaf bot is:
[12:27] #kabuto# link javadoc
[12:27] Linking to javadoc at 192.168.1.2:10002 ...
[12:27] Received challenge from javadoc... sending response ...
[12:27] Linked to javadoc.
*** Linked to javadoc
[12:27] Downloading user file from javadoc
[12:27] Lost userfile transfer from javadoc; aborting.
*** javadoc
[12:27] (Userlist download aborted.)

EDIT: I thought I'd post the message I get from hub too:
[11:12] #kabuto# link anarki
[11:12] Linking to anarki at 192.168.1.2:10000 ...
[11:12] Received challenge from anarki... sending response ...
[11:12] Linked to anarki.
*** Linked to anarki
[11:12] Creating resync buffer for anarki
[11:12] Sending user file send request to anarki
[11:12] Disconnected from: anarki. No reason (lost 1 bot and 0 users)
*** Disconnected from: anarki. No reason (lost 1 bot and 0 users)
[11:12] (Userlist transmit aborted.)

Regards,

sometimes the userfile transfer may abort due to my-ip settings if you are under a dynamic host connection protocol (DHCP). In this case, you have to set nat-ip to your external ip address in your two edggrops config files.

# If you have a NAT firewall (you box has an IP in one of the following
# ranges: 192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255, 172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255,
# 10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255 and your firewall transparently changes your
# address to a unique address for your box) or you have IP masquerading
# between you and the rest of the world, and /dcc chat, /ctcp chat or
# userfile sharing aren't working, enter your outside IP here. This IP
# is used for transfers only, and has nothing to do with the my-ip or
# my-hostname settings. You may still need to set my-ip and/or my-hostname.
#set nat-ip "127.0.0.1"

Has anyone checked their port settings?

Code: Select all

.dccstat
Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

Should I do this with or without userfile sharing flags?

I just created the exact same setup on a dedicated server and things worked perfectly. What I'm wondering is, which ports I should open on my router (or if I should open ports).

Regards,

EDIT: Opening the listening ports or even completely disabling the firewall didn't help :(
