can anyone help me to write a script for ban counter or direct on how i can do it efficiently?

i need to count how many times does a banmask gets banned.. for example if *!*@abc.com gets banned, a count for the hostmask abc.com will increase.. i want to use the script to find out which hostmask is the most annoying one..
