When I try to do .store on the console it always goes back to the original console. How do I get it to change consoles and store so when I log back in I get the console that I tried to store.

I think you are expecting something other then the bot saving active channel and the console flags.
Use ".console" in the partyline to check what is saved for your console settings.

Could you doublecheck these settings?
Code:
#### CONSOLE MODULE ####

# This module provides storage of console settings when you exit the
# bot or type .store on the partyline.
loadmodule console

# Save users console settings automatically? Otherwise, they have
# to use the .store command.
set console-autosave 1

# If a user doesn't have any console settings saved, which channel
# do you want them automatically put on?
set force-channel 0

# Enable this setting if a user's global info line should be displayed
# when they join a botnet channel.
set info-party 0

Also might be worth mentioning, is that console settings are saved in an EXTRA-field in your user-record, meaning that if your bot goes down before changes are saved, they'll be lost.

I checked those settings and there were a couple that were different, so I changed them but the same thing still happens. After making the changes I saved then restarted the bot. Then I chatted it. Changed consoles saved then .store. Logged out and when I logged in it went back to the same channel instead of the one I stored. Crying or Very sad

You have to use .save command before restarting bot and after using .store.

Could you paste the output of these two commands?:
Code:
.binds chon all
.whois Bee_Jay

I do not think anyone asked you to repeat what was already posted.
You were asked for output from specific commands.

There are two "non-standard" bindings in that list; namely these:
Code:
<Sarek> chon -|- * 7 dcc_on
<Sarek> chon -|- * 7 *chon:notes2

My first guess would be that one of these interfere with your saved console settings. Could you list which extra scripts/modules you've got installed and loaded?

Can't find any info 'bout "predator-5.0.tcl" or "jbobsecureops.tcl", so I really can't tell if any of these are interfering with the console module.

However, doing alittle googling suggested that the "bind chon -|- * dcc_on" binding comes from a clone-detector written by Ernst back in 2000 (http://www.baschny.de/eggdrop/). This script does have a timer that will set your console +1 if you have +o or +m privileges on any channel.

Also, the "bind chon -|- * *chon:notes2" binding comes from the notes2.tcl script that is included with eggdrop's source (although not loaded by default). This should not interfere with the console module

PostPosted: Fri Apr 18, 2008 8:23 pm    Post subject: Our bot-net Reply with quote

Predator & jbob are scripts that were written specifically for outr botnet. We have been running them for years and this problem has only started recently. Would there be some way for me to get my conf. file and scripts to you to look over? We use to have someone that was our botmaster but after years he got tired of it and over the past year he really let things go. So I took over his bots as well as I had a few of my own. The bots had gotten really bad so I upgraded all the bots. so far all but the one have the old config files. I thought that might be the problem so upgraded the config file on the one bot. It did correct some of the problems but created others. Not really knowing what I was doing it took a while but I finally got the bot top fire up. We have a small bot-net of 33 bots which is owned by 3 different people. Since I know the most which isn't a lot I have been elected to maintain the bot-net. So any help you can give us is greatly appreciated.
