imdb.tcl update? [SOLVED]

Post by holycrap »

Hi!

Can someone please update the iMDB.tcl file? It can be found in the TCL archives or this link:

http://www.egghelp.org/tclhtml/3478-4-0-0-1-imdb.htm

# IMDb query v1.7
# Copyright (C) 2007 perpleXa

Thank you very much!

imdb.tcl [v1.8] - IMDb query

Code: Select all

# IMDb query v1.8
# Copyright (C) 2007 perpleXa
# http://perplexa.ugug.org / #perpleXa on QuakeNet
It is proper etiquette to at least make an attempt to reach the original author for support before asking others to step in and assist. People may see this an as opportunity to 'steal' the script and resubmit it to the archive with all credit going to themselves (none to the original author) for a minor regexp change.... Derivative versions of scripts should merely be linked to through the forum, and not submitted for entry into the tcl archive (unless its okayed by the original author). At least IMHO...that's why if a fix does appear I'm hoping it's within code tags.. :D

I did check the site, but the author seems to have abandoned the project.

A working (maintained) copy can be found here.

This one is way too big of a file and it still doesn't work. I'm sure the code can be fixed with a few lines of modification.

Would be greatful if anyone is willing to look into this.
