Hi
I just setted up a eggbot. It is a SOP at my channel. I can DCC chat it using /ctcp botname chat.
When i do :
.kick #channelname user reason it says :
I can't help you now because I'm not a channel op or halfop on #channel
Why is that error. it is a SOP.

Try opping the bot first...
SOP grants your bot access to various commands through chanserv (which it natively is completely unaware of), but does not give your bot any privileges to change modes, kick, etc on the channel. It will have to be opped first, either by another op, or by chanserv...

It works nice now.
So it only can bans properly on Operator stats?

Of course..
If you don't have operator stats, you can't kick/ban/change modes either, regardless wether you're an AOP, SOP, or FOUNDER... It's not a limitation of eggdrop, but the way irc servers work.
