OK new problem I have tried to find help on, got some but it is still not working.
I have added several users to the perm ban list and it will not kick and ban them when they join.
I am using global setting not adding a channel name.
this is one of the users whois
Bejier is ~~@184.52.221.203.dial.dynamic.acc04-waym-adl.comindico.com.au
below is what I added to the bot
.+ban ~~@*.*.comindico.com.au
now I have that user part and join several times it will not kick them or ban them.
: Settings for static channel #(my channel):
: Protect modes (chanmode): +tn
: Idle Kick after (idle-kick): DON'T!
: stopnethack: DON'T!
: aop-delay: 5:30
: revenge-mode: 0
: ban-time: 120
: exempt-time: 60
: invite-time: 60
: Other modes:
: -inactive +statuslog -secret +shared
: +greet -seen +cycle +dontkickops
: +protectops -protectfriends -revenge -revengebot
: -bitch -autoop -autovoice -nodesynch
: +enforcebans +dynamicbans -userbans -autohalfop
: -protecthalfops
: +dynamicexempts +userexempts +dynamicinvites +userinvites
: User defined channel strings:
am I missing something here.

How did you set up the "strict-hosts" configuration setting? _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

'k, could you verify that they don't match any users with flags such as +f, +o, or +m (hint, use the .channel #channel command to list channel members and how your eggdrop recognizes them) _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

none of them match any of the flags cause there not in the bot as users.
anyway I got it working sorta.
it will ban them now. for some reason the strict hosts was not keeping the 1 .
but as soon as it bans them, it unbans then. and for one spambot it means a constant in out in out.... arrggggg
trying to find the time for ban see if it is set wrong. |

Still sounds like you've got one user in your userlist with a hostmask that matches these spambots. Using .channel, does it list the bots as having the handle "*", or anything else?
Also, are you using some custom tcl-scripts or such? _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |
