When I send the chat request, I get

DCC invalid port: CHAT

in the error log.

I read that this was due to the port range that mirc used, so I changned it to 6558 to 6560.

I still get the same error from eggdrop now.

-I've tried setting my host lookup method in mIRC to Normal AND Server.
-Telling the bot to CTCP botname chat, works
-Both me and the bot are on the same machine
-Windows XP, with Comodo Firewall, and ports open in both firewall and forwarded in router (range 6550-6660 open and forwarded)

Have you tryed telnet'ing in to the bot, with putty. If you are on the same machine, wouldn't it be easy to just use localhost. And telnet to that address, which wouldn't need you to open ports on your router. Smile
