Hi, at first insalled my eggdrop directory does not have these files. What are they and what purposes do they serve? They just started to appear. It's in the format *.chan~bak and *.user~bak
Thanks!

They're backups of the user and channels files, and are automatically created by renaming the old user/channels file prior saving a new one. Their purpose is to maintain an old copy of the user/channels file whenever a new one is saved, just in case something would go wrong (process is killed while saving, disc quota exceeded, etc). _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |
