|
|
Hello!
I have 5 bots all 4 are linked for one. When I try to link him I get
Refused telnet@my.bot.host.com (invalid handle: botname)
I have searched for this but unable to find the info I need or what I am doing wrong. 3 of the 5 bots were 1.4.x bots upgraded to 1.6.19 which I did not upgrade my friend not sure if that matters, the other two were fresh installs of 1.6.19 that I did and having no issues with those anyways.
Also on the upgraded bots I get this error on the party line over and over but not on all the bots or all the time? I was told it was because I added a TCL script and it's causing issues but I only have the preinstalled scripts.
[10:46] <botname> [05:37] Tcl error in script for 'need-op':
[10:46] <botname> [05:37] invalid command name "gain_entrance"
This is driving me nuts and I can not figure out the problem.
I am not a complete eggdrop idiot as I got the two new bots online with no issues but same time I am not able to figure out these issues.
Thanks if you can help figure this out!~ |

In case you haven't already, read about linking bots here.
About the Tcl error, you probably have invalid syntax in the need-op channel setting of one or more channels. Use .chaninfo #channel to check what's the need-op setting and ".chanset #channel need-op" to remove it. _________________ Follow me on GitHub

Yeah I read the bot linking page and got 4 others to link flawlessly.

Ok great on the need-op thing I see what channel is the problem is now.
Working on it now. |

Make sure the bots you're trying to link do not have the same handle.
Add your handle to the "owner" setting in your eggdrop.conf and you'll become a permanent owner. _________________ Follow me on GitHub

| Ok need-op is fixed I think. Got to work on another bot and then I will get back to the botnet issues. |
