|
|
hi guys,
i'm having a prb with psyBNC. i am using the win32 one. psybnc2.3.v6.exe. i've installed it properly. but before that in the psybnc.conf file i changed the nick and pass. so now it's look like this ...
| Code: | PSYBNC.SYSTEM.PORT1=12345
PSYBNC.SYSTEM.HOST1=*
PSYBNC.HOSTALLOWS.ENTRY0=*;*
USER1.USER.LOGIN=test
USER1.USER.USER=test
USER1.USER.PASS==testme
USER1.USER.RIGHTS=1
USER1.USER.VLINK=0
USER1.USER.PPORT=0
USER1.USER.PARENT=0
USER1.USER.QUITTED=0
USER1.USER.DCCENABLED=1
USER1.USER.AUTOGETDCC=0
USER1.USER.AIDLE=0
USER1.USER.LEAVEQUIT=0
USER1.USER.AUTOREJOIN=1
USER1.USER.SYSMSG=1
USER1.USER.LASTLOG=0
USER1.USER.VHOST=mac.apple.org.ru
USER1.USER.AWAYNICK=test-GONE
USER1.USER.LEAVEMSG=mi stň trombato tua sorella!
USER1.USER.NICK=testx
USER1.SERVERS.SERVER1=irc6.edisontel.it
USER1.SERVERS.PORT1=6667
USER1.CHANNELS.KEY0=+1J1R282j2g2G2x2@
USER1.CHANNELS.ENTRY0=#histonium |
now i started the psybnc.exe ... opned MiRC and put /server 192.168.2.3:12345 ... it connects to the server and then goes for the pass ... now i put /quote pass testme ... but it disconnets ... even i changed my User ID to test in MiRC > Identd
then i only keep getting disconnected saying that
| Code: | 02:54… * Connecting to 192.168.2.3 (12345)
02:54… —Welcome— psyBNC2.3
02:54… —-psyBNC— Your IRC Client did not support a password. Please type /QUOTE PASS yourpassword to connect.
02:54… -> Server: pass testme
02:54… —-psyBNC— Wrong Password. Disconnecting. |
can anyone pls help me why this is happening??? |

yes first kill the process it is running as, then edit your config line here
USER1.USER.PASS==testme
to read like this
USER1.USER.PASS=testme
see there is only 1 equal sign that would be your problem, you can now restart the program and use it _________________ I see j00! |

by setting a new Password in the psybnc.conf you have to use only one "="
That means you enter the Password there in Plaintext.
After the first Start of the BNC with this Settings, the System will encode the Password and further will show only the hash.
This hash is shown with two "==". |
